Established in 1989 in India, LORD has over the years, established itself as a world leader in design, production and marketing of high technology professional audio products.
The history of the company started with a parallel development of microphone technology as well as loudspeakers: the early microphone products where highly advanced “Ribbon” design. This initial development soon followed a natural progression to start the design and manufacture of innovative loudspeakers transducer technology LRD transducers became legendary and became 30 years our woofers, midrange and compression drivers have been used by some very prominent loudspeaker manufacturer worldwide.
During these years we started to design and build active professional loudspeakers. This technology used at the time by a few manufacturers in the world, instantly repositioned LORD as an international speaker manufacturer. Thanks to our experience and heritage in transducer manufacturing, we have always preferred to design and construct completely all our own components.
